Nugent in, Walters out?

David Nugent may make a U-turn on his decision to not move away from Portsmouth, and join Town on a season long loan.

It is clear that Nugent wants to stay with Portsmouth, and a season long loan could well be what the striker desires. He would be given a season in the Championship to show his worth and then move back to Pompey, hopefully having shown what he can do.

With Nugent reportedly close to signing on loan it could open the door for Walters, who is again linked with a move to Stoke.

The rumour has been circulating for a few weeks now, and the story has cropped up yet again in the national tabloids. Town are said to want £3 million for the Striker or Wide player but have denied any interest in the player.

Walters, who has been on compassionate leave for two weeks, is thought to want a move up to the North-West.
