Norwich v Ipswich

Last updated : 26 November 2010 By BBC Sport

Norwich could give a debut to on-loan Arsenal midfielder Henri Lansbury in Sunday's East Anglian derby, which is live on BBC One from 1300 GMT.Manager Paul Lambert, who begins a two-game touchline ban, is without Adam Drury, while Korey Smith is a doubt.

Ipswich defender Gareth McAuley will be out until the new year after undergoing surgery on an Achilles problem.

Connor Wickham is also out, but Gianni Zuiverloon and Rory Fallon may feature after joining on loan this week.

MATCH PREVIEW

The last Ipswich manager to mastermind victory in the East Anglian derby was sacked three days later. It is hard to imagine the same fate befalling Jim Magilton's successor, Roy Keane, if the Blues win at Carrow Road, but a fourth successive defeat would certainly increase the pressure on the Ipswich boss.

The Irishman was recruited, amid much fanfare, to guide Town back to the top flight within two years. However, a run of six defeats in eight league games has seen some supporters lose patience. Keane, whose side are only three points off the play-offs, insists Ipswich are making progress, although conceding people will "think I'm even madder after that statement".

It would be interesting to know whether reclusive Ipswich owner Marcus Evans agrees, given he has bankrolled the £14m pre-tax loss the club announced this month. Evans provided only limited funds this summer, forcing Keane to blood a number of youngsters. The likes of Luke Hyam, Tom Eastman and Connor Wickham all have promising futures at Portman Road. But can the same be said of Keane, whose contract runs out at the end of the season?

It is a very different story at Carrow Road, where Paul Lambert's appointment has transformed Norwich's fortunes. The Canaries were relegated to League One shortly after defeat at Portman Road in 2009, but bounced back in style after poaching Lambert from Colchester. Lambert has not so far enjoyed the same financial backing as Keane, but Norwich have made an encouraging start this season, even if a run of four straight draws has seen them drop out of the top six.
