Keane's future has been the subject of media speculation over the past few days, with sections of the press claiming that the former Sunderland boss is set to be sacked later this week, a claim which which has been countered by Town Chief Executive Derek Bowden who continues to back the Irishman publicly.

Speaking of a possible change of the manager's hot seat at Portman Road, former Plymouth midfielder Norris told the press: "We are 100 per cent behind the manager. We realise we've let him down this season.

"But you can see how much we respect the manager, want to play for the manager and do well for the manager.

"You can only learn from him. He was some player and he does see things that he passes on to me and other midfield players.

"Teams don't get success straight away. It hasn't been a full season yet and will take a bit of time."
