Murphy: Striker My Best Position

By Bluesweb.co.uk
Monday, 8th February 2010
Town's recent loan signing Daryl Murphy has insisted that his best position in the team is playing as a striker.
The Republic of Ireland international spent much of his recent time at parent club Sunderland playing on the left hand side of midfield, but believes he is more effective playing through the middle up front.

Speaking to the Official Club Website, the 26 year old said: "I know my goals record doesn't look good but I haven't had a chance to play in my best position for a while.

"I've spent a lot of time on the left and I think I've been wasted out there. The manager has said that he wants to use me up front and I'm hoping to get a run in the side in that position and obviously score goals here."
