More Injury Woe For Town: Clarke Out For Six Weeks

The young Irishman scored a penalty in the match but is expected to be sidelined for a possible six weeks after it was confirmed that he had dislocated his elbow.

Billy Clarke made his full home debut against QPR and with Town short of strikers at present, he will be more than a little dissappointed that he misses his oppourtunity to establish himself in the side.

Danny Haynes, another product of the famous Ipswich Academy, could take Clarke's place in the starting eleven at Hillsborough. He scored his first senior goal last weekend, after coming off the bench to earn Town a point against QPR.

Another option for Royle would be to deploy Naylor further up the pitch, in his old striker role. He switched Naylor from the back to the front after half-time against QPR and has hinted he will not be afraid to do so again.

Adam Proudlock is one player that will not be an option, after his contract agreement states that he cannot feature against his old club.
