Marshall Set for Portman Road Return

The unwanted former Norwich keeper was handed a free transfer by Town boss Joe Royle last season after some inconsistant displays and before his current loan spell at Millwall, Marshall spent a spell on loan at Wolves earlier in the season.

However Royle is well aware that the former England Under 21 keeper could come back to haunt him, but felt he couldn't really prevent him playing against Town.

“It's something we preferably would have avoided, but they're paying a substantial amount of his wages and we couldn't really enforce anything with this deal." he commented yesterday

“Andy's a good keeper, he's just had a bad time here. It just hasn't worked for him here, which sometimes happens, but I believe he's doing exceptionally well at Millwall. He'll be keen to do well here, to show people what he can do - myself included. Let's hope he doesn't come back to haunt us.”
