Former Northern Ireland international midfielder Magilton was rested for the visit to Watford last weekend with Jason De Vos becoming skipper in his absense, and Canadian De Vos will keep the armband should Magilton not recover from a knee injury in time.

Speaking of his skippers fitness, Town boss Joe Royle told the Official Club Website: "Jim has a sore knee but we are hoping he will train with us this morning and we will take it from there.

"I think it's a wear and tear problem more than anything else but he's a key player for us and we need him fit."
