The 22 year old Argentine who has been ruled out since March this year when he suffered multi ligament damage against Burnley told the official club website: "I am running every day and feel happy with the progress I am making.
"I am seeing the specialist soon and hopefully he will say that my knee is fine to start doing exercises with the ball and increase my running to a quicker pace.
"I feel I am improving all the time. In two months I hope to be training with my team-mates. That is the target for me. After that, I want to be back playing football again before Christmas."
