Lee's Ipswich form earns him international call
Alan Lee has been included in Staunton's Republic of Ireland squad to face Chile at Landsdown Road on 24th May.

The striker ends his exile from the national set-up, after previously amassing 8 caps in the past. His form at Portman Road since his switch from Cardiff has earnt him his chance under the stewardship of Staunton and Robson.

Darren Bent was a suprise exclusion from Sven Goran Erriksson's squad to take to the World Cup, which means that Town will not receive any bonus payments over the summer. Ipswich were set to get £200,000 a piece for his first two competitive international appearances.

Owen Garvan has been pulled out of the Republic's U19 squad with a hip injury.

The other Ipswich players involved in international duty in May and June are: Lewis Price (Wales), Chris Casement (Northern Ireland U19s) and Shane Supple and Billy Clarke (Republic U19s).
