Kuqi Offered New Deal as Scowie Leaves Palace

Bury St Edmunds born Scowcroft signed for Palace in the summer of 2006 from Coventry City where he spent just one year. During his time at the Eagles, Scowcroft scored 14 times in 68 starts and 18 substitute appearances at Selhurst Park.

In the 2008/9 season however the forward or midfielder found himself surplus to requirements having made just five starts and five sub appearances without scoring for Palace and was sent off in the 0-0 home draw against Burnley in late August.

32 year old Kuqi joined Palace from Blackburn in 2006, and after scoring eight times in his first campaign at the club, fell out of favour and spent time on loan both at Premier League side Fulham and a brief return to Portman Road which was cut short by injury, failing to find the net whilst at both clubs.

2008/9 has seen the Finnish international return to the first team fold at Selhurst Park, and the 6ft2 striker weighed in with 10 goals for Palace in 37 games this term for Neil Warnock's side to win himself a new deal which he is expected to sign in the coming days.
