The Hungarian international striker has found it hard to settle in his new surroundings at Portman Road and has faced difficulty in trying to hold down a first team place since his summer move from Watford, having only scored twice in his 19 games to date for Town.

Speaking to the Colchester Gaette Keane felt that the loan could make Priskin a better asset to the club: "With the two lads coming in it was a decision we had to make, to balance the books.

"I still think he's a talented player, but maybe he just needs a change of scenery. Hopefully it will give him some confidence and we'll welcome him back at the end of the season. He's still learning his trade and he'll come back a stronger player."
