Keane Predicted to Walk Away From Portman Road

The former Sunderland manager walked away from the job at the Stadium of Light in February 2008 with the club languishing in the relegation zone following a promising first season in the top flight, and the latest odds to be released by Sky Bet suggest the bookies believe it may happen again.

Sky Bet's Helen Jacob said: "Ipswich have made a very slow start to their Championship campaign and given Keane's past managerial record, it would not be a surprise to see him leave his post at Ipswich if a marked improvement isn't made soon."

After last night's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest leaving Town with just three points in the first seven games, the club remained in 23rd place in the Coca-Cola Championship and are still looking for their first win of the season having only managed three draws so far.

Sky Bet now have Roy Keane 1/3 on to leave the club before the end of the season, 11/1 to be promoted in the current campaign whilst odds of 9/4 are on offer for those who wish to bet on Keane staying as manager until at least the end of the season.
