Hunt becomes the first member of former Town boss Jim Magilton's backroom staff to leave the club since his own and his assistant John Gorman's departure in April. It is not yet known if anyone else will be leaving the club as part of the restructure of backroom staff.
Confirming the news to the Official Club Website, Chief Executive Simon Clegg said: "On behalf of the Club, I would like to thank Simon for his efforts and wish him every success for his future career."
