Haynes major doubt

The 18 year old striker missed training on Thursday, with a bout of flu and also has a slight ankle injury.

With Billy Clarke's loan move to Colchester, the only match-fit strikers left at the club are Alan Lee and Dean McDonald, who will either form a new partnership or Royle will revert to the tried and tested formation of Alan Lee up front with Darren Currie just off him in the hole.

Nicky Forster is making faster progress than expected from his cartilage operation and even has a chance of making a return in the
Reserves tonight, who entertain West Ham at Needham Market (7pm KO).

Another Town first-team striker is likely to make a return in that match is Sam Parkin, who is recovering from breaking his ankle back in December.

One Parkin will be playing at Portman Road on Saturday though and that is Jon Parkin, who Hull signed from Macclesfield in the January transfer window.

Town's over major doubts conern Scott Barron, who has a hamstring injury and Jimmy Juan, with Magilton in line to make what may well prove to be his last start at Portman Road, with him moving on in the summer.
