Rumours circulating in the last 24 hours suggest a deal isn't too far away and a deal may be struck before the Championship season kicks off in three days time.
There were earlier reports linking Haynes with long time admier Harry Redknapp, possibly in a part exchange deal for David Nugent. However Nugent played down a move to Ipswich and therfore nothing came about of it.
