Final curtain for trio?

"Magic Magilton" bows out at Portman Road on Saturday after 7 years
Skipper at the beginning of the season, 36 year old Jim Magilton is parting company with the club at the end of the season after seven years at Ipswich. He will be given a final Portman Road appearance on Saturday against Terry Westley's Derby County.

Loanee's Jimmy Juan and Jay McEveley may also be making their final Portman Road appearances, with Joe Royle seemingly ruling out a move for Blackburn's Jay and uncertain whether Monaco will allow him to make a bid for Jimmy and if it will be at a price within the Blues' slim budget.

Alan Lee and Chris Casement will both miss out with a hamstring and ankle injuries respectively, whilst long term casualty, Sam Parkin is still yet to be pencilled in at Reserve level after a recent setback on his comeback trail.

Ian Westlake has recovered from his ankle injury ahead of schedule and although the Clacton born player has not played any football in over a month, he will be in contention come Saturday, with a place on the bench more than likely.

After two goals in two games, Nicky Forster will start upfront, partnered by one from Danny Haynes, Dean Bowditch or Richard Naylor.

Royle will revert back to a 4-4-2 system after experimenting with a 4-3-3 in the 2-1 defeat at Vicarage road.

Vermund Brekke-Skard will drop out of the eleven, with Magilton his likely replacement and one of Garvan or Juan likely to start from the bench.

Terry Westley has central defener Darren Moore suspended for the clash and Kevin Lisbie, on loan from Charlton, is rated as doubtful.

In their last game at Portman Road of the 2005/2006 season, the Blues are looking to get a return to prevent them from finishing in their worst position in 50 years. The Blues are currently on a horrendous run of 8 games without a win and 4 losses on the trot.
