He told the Official Club Website "It's lucky that it was at the top of my foot and not lower down, because I think that would have meant a break.
"I took my boot off at half-time and my foot was bruised and swollen and there was no way I could carry on.
"The physio team say it's badly bruised and we will have to see how it progresses during the week.
"Hopefully I will be okay for the weekend. I have just got back in the side and, with the defenders we have here you know that if are out for a while, it can be hard to get back in the team."
