Everton Reject Ferguson Loan Bid

The 31 year old player played under Joe Royle whilst he was manager at Everton, and went on to witn the FA Cup with the club in 1995. Both Joe and Duncan share several thing in common, including the preference of the long ball game, something which has attracted a large ammount of criticism from the blues fans.

Speaking to the Official Club Website, failed Manchester City manager Royle said : "We have made a serious attempt to bring Duncan to Portman Road. I have been speaking to David Moyes but I understand the reasons why he has declined our request."

"I feel he is a big impact player who could have made a statement here and I am disappointed that our efforts have been turned down."
