The Summer free transfer signing from Burnley picked up the injury after clashing with fellow central defender Georges Santos in the game against The Franchise whilst making a challenge and inital reports following the match suggest that the Guinean International would be out for around three weeks.

However since returning to training recentley Diallo picked up another knock on the same knee, and it's meant further setbacks for Town's key defender, and unfortunatley the problem which initally ruled him out, seems to have returned again.

Speaking to the official club website, Town boss Joe Royle confirmed Drissa's injury problems: "He can run in straight lines without any problems but any change in direction is bothering him. The physios have decided that he needs to see a specialist and we will see where that takes us."

Meanwhile fellow injury victim, and former Sunderland player Chris Makin who has been ruled out of being considered in manager Joe Royle's plans since August due to injury, is still a way off being ready to return to any type of action for the club.
