Town boss Roy Keane admitted following the 2-1 win over Coventry City at the weekend that it would be unlikely that the club could hold on to the former Barcelona star for another season at Portman Road.
Speaking to the Official Club Website, Dos Santos who scored four times in his loan spell with Town said: "I want to thank the fans for supporting me. I love the fans here.
"It's been a great experience for me at Ipswich and I have learnt a lot in my time here.
"There are some very good players at the Club and I think Ipswich can get in the Premier League very soon.
"I will go back to Tottenham and speak to the manager and we will see what happens from there."
