Dinning Returns to Wigan

Dinning spent two months at Portman Road and was aiming to earn himself a full time move to Portman Road, however the midfielder has never really shown what he can do in his loan period, and it comes as no suprise that he has been sent packing.

"Joe told me this morning that he wouldn't be keeping me and that's fair enough, it happens in football. Obviously I'm disappointed because I have really enjoyed myself here but it hasn't worked out." Tony told the Official Club Website.

"I had a feeling a week or two back that I might not be kept on and after starting against Plymouth, the boss had to change it because Fabian was sent-off. I had no arguments with that because we had to get a left-back on and it worked because we won the game but in a way that summed up my stay here.

"I'll go back to Wigan now and see how things work out from there but I have really enjoyed working with the lads here and can see Ipswich pushing on and being heavily involved in the promotion race."
