Joe Royle seemed to hint at the fact that McDonald may be sold if a better deal can be reached: "Hartlepool have made a bid for Dean but it's not quite matched our valuation.
"We have made Dean aware of the situation and there are other bits and pieces to the deal tied in, so we will see what develops."
He then said that the two Dean's; McDonald and Bowditch have both been cut from the squad to take on Sheffield United.
The news comes a week after ITFM revealed that Bowditch and Royle had fallend out and if McDonald does go, it is unlikely that Joe would also sell his remaining 'Dean'.
