Both players current deals are set to expire in the summer but Joe Royle confirmed that the club are making arrangements to extend both players stays by another season: "A deal has been agreed with Jason and his agent and I understand the chairman is going to speak with Fabian's agent this week. I'm confident both will be signed this week and that will be great for everyone."

35 year old Wilnis and 32 year old De Vos have both been regulars in the Town back line this year, with De Vos taking over the captaincy from Jim Magilton.
