The draw will be regionalised by being divided into North and South sections with half of the participants being seeded based on last seasons league finishes. Middlesbrough and Newcastle have been handed byes to the Second Round due to being the two highest finishing relegated teams from the Premiership.
The fixtures for the 2009/2010 Coca-Cola Championship season will be released the following day.
