The Hull midfielder has become a favourite at Portman Road since joining in January and could yet make the move permanent in the summer.
He said: "I had never been on loan before but even at 32 coming here is the best move I have made.
"I have scored some goals and won a few games and played for a great football club.
"I`m not sure where I will be nest season yet but I wouldn`t be disappointed to be at Ipswich, put it that way."
