Naylor right behind his new manager
Naylor, who has his testimonial after ten years service to the club on Septemeber 2nd, thinks that the appointment will prove to be a good one: "I think that anyone who had been in the dressing room with Jim knew he would move into management.

"He has been a leader amongst the players for a few years now and is held in the highest regard by all of us. He has everyone's respect so from that point, he is in a strong position to make the transition from player to management very smoothly.

"It's a natural step for him and I'm delighted to see him get the job and I'm sure he will give it 200%.

"That's Jim. His enthusiasm for the game in general and Ipswich Town in general is unrivalled and I'm sure he will prove to be a good choice," he said speaking to the club website.

The strong centre-back also outlined how he thought Jim would improve him as a player and how he had no doubt that from working with Bryan in the past they would make a good team.
