Alan Lee: two and a half year deal
The 27 year old Republic of Ireland striker was delighted to put pen to paper on the deal. On his first look round the club as a Town player, he underlined how the facilities were Premiership quality and how he thinks Ipswich can make the play-offs still.

Speaking to the club website, he said: "It's a new challenge for me here and I can't wait to get started.

"I only got permission to talk to Joe on Monday and he didn't have to seel the club to me.

"I have played at Portman Road a few times and have always enjoyed coming here. It's a fantastic stadium with great supporters and there's always been a terrific atmosphere.

"Looking around the ground and the training facilitites, everything here is Premiership class and I want to help play my part in getting Ipswich back to the highest level.

"Looking at the table Reading and Sheffield United look set for the top two places but the play-offs are up for grabs for so many clubs I don't see why we can't be one of them."

The fee involved is thought to be around £100,000 - £150,000 though reports from Cardiff are that Ipswich managed to knock £50,000 off the original estimation, so £100,000 looks the most likely figure to be announced by the Chairman in the coming days.

Alan will go straight into the squad to face high-flying Sheffield United at Portman Road on Saturday.
