Independent Fan Zone Column (Preston Home)

For selected home games throughout the 2009/10 season we will be providing a fans view of home games to the Independent newspaper's Monday sports pull-out.

Please note these views represent that of the induvidual, and not that of the website as a whole.

What was the Defining Moment?
When Preston were sent down to Ten on the stroke of half time, and we scored from the resulting penalties rebound, I felt this should have been the turning point in the match and perhaps our season, unfortunately we were unable to break them down and take advantage of the numerical advantage and our early season struggles continue.

Man of the Match:
Jack Colback put a good stint in, in the centre of midfield and is looking promising in the displays I've seen so far and Alex Bruce was solid. Special mention for Pablo too who looked creative and certainly adds something to our forward line which has been missing in recent weeks.

Moan of the Match:
Yet again Roy Keane's continuation of playing the distinctively average Trotter in the centre of midfield, and the mystifying decision to leave Mr Reliable David Wright out perplexed me. I was even more confused when three subs were made in one go half an hour before the end which totally unsettled the team and lessened our goal threat.
